Outfit of the Day

Hey everyone!
Recently I went to a Christmas Lights Parade in a town nearby and I really liked the outfit that I wore therefore I decided to share it with you all. So here is the outfit that I wore...

For this occasion I wore a paisley print long sleeve swing dress, that I mentioned in my last blog post. The main colours on the detail of the dress are blue, green and white. I paired the dress with a brown plaited belt because the brown breaks up the darker colours of the dress and makes the waist look smaller. A swing dress floats outwards so wearing a belt helps to give shape to the dress. This style of dress is in the boho fashion style as it isn't tight fitting and the pattern is of a vintage theme. I added my blue jacket for a bit of warmth.

For accessories, I wore a silver engraved locket necklace that I bought in a antique jewellrey shop abroad. This was the only jewellrey the I wore with this outfit because the pattern of the dress would have clashed a little if too many accessories were worn with it. Also I think that simplicity is best for accessories.

On my feet I wore my brown cut-out brogues that complemented the brown belt and tied the whole outfit together. I wore minimalistic makeup, using neutral and subtle tones for the eyes and a pale pink lipstick.

Please comment what you think of this post! All of the items that I wore are listed below along with where I purchased them from.

Seasonal Essentials

Hey everyone,
So recently the weather has been getting a little frostier, as I live in England, therefore I thought I would write about some essential items to have in the winter! This post isn't just on fashion but everyday essentials for the colder months too! Please leave comments below if you like any of the ideas suggested or if you are going to use any of these ideas!

Fashion

A day dress is an essential for all seasons but a long sleeve day dress is a good product to buy to have a girly look even in the colder weather! This is a swing style dress that I've recently purchased from boohoo.com. It is a bit of an unusual choice for me to buy and I liked it for this reason and also because when I put it on, it had a vintage look to it which made me love it even more because I'm in love with anything vintage! You can pair this statement dress with tights, a scarf and some black heels or other shoes and you have a perfect girly winter outfit.

This style of scarf is often referred to as a snood (a British term, i think) or an infinity scarf. It is definitely an essential for the chillier weather as it is stylish and cosy. The snood in the picture is from Topshop and I chose it as an example because the pastel pink colour brings a warm touch to an outfit.

Beauty

An essential for beauty would be the newly released range of Baby Lips by Maybelline. I haven't tried them out for myself but I have heard so many good reviews about them that I will be buying one as soon as I can! They come in six different colours and flavours. Definitely something to check out! You can buy these from any drug or beauty store.
For other types of make up I would suggest neutral tones for eye make up and warm colours for the lips. Remember to keep your lips moisturised during the colder times so that your lips don't get chapped.

Room Inspiration

A tip for seasonal decoration for your room is...Fairy lights! Fairy lights are a great decoration for your room, no matter what season it is. They give your room a cosy feel and also give a feminine touch. You can get these lights from most stores and in all different types, the suggestions are endless.

Music

Music suggestions for this season are pretty obvious, anything christmassy will do! Now That's What I Call Christmas is a collection of traditional Christmas favourites. These are great songs to listen to in the car or around the house to get you into the Christmas spirit!

A band that I've been loving recently are Twenty One Pilots! They don't have any relation to Christmas but I thought I would share this band with you as they aren't extremely well known but are really good! My favourite songs by them are Holding on to You, House of Gold and their cover of Can't Help Falling in Love.  They are not something that I would usually listen to but I love them!

That's all of the seasonal essentials that I would suggest! This is a different type of post for me but I hope you like it, please give me feedback in the comments. Also, I would like to thank a lot of people who have told me that they've been loving my blog and have shared it with lots of people and I really thank everyone for reading this!

Inspirations in the Industry

Hey bloggers,

Today's post is about inspirations in the fashion industry. There are many people that i admire but the few that I am going to talk about are people who are my greatest inspirations.

Cara Delevingne

Cara Delevingne is probably my biggest inspiration in the industry because she is so unafraid to be who she is and she isn't the type of model who is unhealthily skinny or who won't go out of the house without makeup on. She is a very good role-model for young girls because of this. Cara is photographed regularly in casual everyday clothing and with no makeup, she is a normal girl and very down-to-earth. She is also unlike most models because outside of work she usually wears hats, trainers and tracksuit trousers. However, in photo shoots she becomes a girly, beautiful yet unusual looking model who is extremely versatile. At only 21, Cara is one of the most famous and successful models at the moment and is currently the face of Burberry's Beauty campaign and won Model of the Year at the British Fashion Awards. Her confidence in who she is and her drive to be successful are what makes her someone that I look up to, like many young girls do.

Jade Thompson

Jade Thompson began her modelling career by appearing on Britain and Ireland's Next Top Model. At the beginning of the competition, she felt unsure about herself because of her looks but as the competition progressed she grew in confidence. Eventually, Jade went on to win the competition and since then has been on the cover of Company magazine several times, she was the face of Revlon's beauty campaign and has been a model that has featured in two episodes of the TV show Styled to Rock. Jade is one of my inspirations because of her unusual looks, the strength to push past negative comments about her and her personality. She is working her way up in the fashion industry but is still as grounded as before winning BINTM.

Autumn Must-Have

Hey bloggers!
So today's post will be something a little different as I am going to do a season's must-have post! I recently bought a winter coat/jacket from New Look and I love it so I thought I would share it with you all...Please excuse my face and hair in these pictures, it was very windy!

It is a dark navy blue colour and has a drawstring around the waist to adjust it so the coat flatters your figure. It also has a hood that can be unzipped from under the collar to protect you from the rain!
It works a bit like a windbreaker but is a little more fashionable so you are warm when out in the cold weather! It is perfect for any occasion, especially dog walks! And yes, we are on a hay bale!

I really like this coat as it isn't too thick and doesn't just hang on your body like most other coats and you can wear it with anything! Lexi (my dog in the picture) likes this coat too!
I tried to look for this coat on the New Look website, but I couldn't find it. However,  it was in the stores last week so it should still be in stock! It wasn't too expensive so I think it's great value for money! Also thanks to my friend Liv for being my photographer and giving me the idea for this post! Please comment your opinions and if you have picked an Autumn must-have like this one!

London Fashion Week

Hey bloggers!
I know that the phrase above is weird and cringe-worthy but I cant think of any other way to start a post! Today I've been looking at the outfits on the catwalk at London Fashion Week Autumn/Winter show to give you all a glimpse of the upcoming winter and fall trends. Here are just a few styles that may become this season's craze...
These outfits are designs by talented designer Holly Fulton. As you can see, bold prints and patterns will be heavily featured this season and vibrant colours are key to achieving success with bold pattern looks.

These are just a few of the designs displayed on the catwalk by Jean-Pierre Braganza who i mentioned in yesterdays blog. Bold prints were also featured in his designs as well as geometric shapes and statement jewellery, smokey looks were the theme of his designs this fall.

*Disclaimer: All opinions are my own and I do not own these images.

Please leave comments on what you thought of the designs featured in London's Fashion Week Autumn/Winter show and which outfits were your favourite and why! Thanks for taking the time to read my blog.

London Fashion Week- Autumn/Winter Show

The London Fashion Week is a bi-annual event that is held in February and September. The clothing trade show hosts many famous designers and models and is world-renowned even to the standards of Milan Fashion week and New York Fashion Week! Yesterday, this spectacular event began, with catwalk featuring work by Julien McDonald, Jean-Pierre Braganza, Zoe Jordan and Sister by Sibling (featuring model Cara Delevingne). Many famous faces have been invited to the show and here are some of the outfits they wore and my opinion of their outfit...
Seen here is Gabriella Wilde who has been the face of Burberry for several seasons. I loved her simplistic look of skinny jeans and a deep blue autumn coat and the burst of colour with her bright orange platform heels. Her makeup was minimalistic but with a vibrant pink lipstick that tied the whole outfit together.
Gorgeous model Rosie Huntington-Whiteley was wearing this combination of a eye-catching red blazer and fitted trousers with a black top underneath and black stiletto heels. This outfit definitely showed off her brilliant figure and the fitted trousers accentuated her long legs.
Kate Nash was among the array of artists in the music industry to be invited to London Fashion Week. She rocked this tartan coat along with her retro stereo bag, red sunglasses and black buckle boots.  Her skin tone was perfect for the tartan theme outfit.

*Disclaimer: These opinions are my personal opinions and these outfits may not be to everyone's tastes. These images are not my own.
